FIELD: medicine, in particular, traumatology and orthopedics.
SUBSTANCE: condylar prosthesis has proximal and distal ends, each comprising leg. Condylar prosthesis is furnished with shock-absorber enabling expansion on knee bending and contraction on knee unbending, and insert having spherical head comprising two parallel flats, and cylindrical neck having square shank. Proximal end is made in the form of flattened base with sledge-shaped runners, said base having variable curvature radius. Slot between runners has spherical bore for receiving of insert head. Distal end is provided with backward beveled support formed as rectangular cup with protrusion and flange. Elastic layer is placed within cup and rigid platform with ridge on its outer surface is placed onto layer. Platform is equipped with screw to be screwed into distal end. Centrally of ridge, there is through circular opening for receiving cylindrical neck of insert, said opening being continued with axially aligned square opening for receiving of insert shank. Shock-absorber is made in the form of elastic member with ends being fastened on base at one side and on distal end at other side.
EFFECT: increased efficiency in recovering function of knee joint of patient having suppressed muscles by providing forced unbending of condylar prosthesis during walking.
