FIELD: medicine; neuroradiology.
SUBSTANCE: computer tomography of cerebrum is performed. Borders of central brain pits are found at both sides by means of bone reference-points. To measure volume of temporal lobes' tissue weight, areas of matter of left and right temporal lobes of brain at any san is measured sequent. Areas of lower horn of side ventricle and areas of furrows are subtracted from achieved factors and final sizes of area of lobe are compared with area of corresponding skull pit at same level. Mentioned values are re-calculated while taking thickness of any scan in account and any interval between scans and volumes of masses of left and right lobes of cerebrum are determined. Then patient is subject to classic multiple-projection angiography of cerebrum in X-ray operation room. In case of reduction in volume of temporal lobes of cerebrum as well as large loop formation, multiple arterial-venous shunts in peripheral departments of front and central cerebrum arteries, feeding forehead-parietal departments of cerebrum's crust and in frontal fibrous arteries, feeding temporal departments of cerebrum, which reduction combines with formation of "capillary craters" and hypo-vascular areas, and presence of reduction in venous sinuses in forehead departments followed by formation of additional abnormal venous branches and development of venous stagnation in forehead-temporal departments of cerebrum, development of Alzheimer disease is testified. Reduction in volume of tissue of temporal lobes of cerebrum for 4-8% corresponds to pre-clinic stage of Alzheimer disease. Reduction for 9-18% corresponds to early clinic stage and can be observed for patients suffering from Alzheimer disease for 1-2 years. Reduction by 19-32% corresponds to average clinic stage of disease for patients suffering from Alzheimer up to 6 years. 33-65% reduction in mass of tissue corresponds to later clinic stage of disease with anamnesis up to 12 years.
EFFECT: timely diagnostics of Alzheimer disease.
