FIELD: nonferrous industry; chemical industry; methods of reprocessing of the metallic beryllium wastes.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of production beryllium compounds, in particular, beryllium hydroxide at the reprocessing of the beryllium-containing metallic waste. The method of reprocessing of the metallic beryllium wastes provides for their dissolution in the alkaline solution with the subsequent separation of the crystalline beryllium hydroxide. The used alkaline solution has the concentration of 300 g/dm3 and the dissolution is conducted at the temperature of 85-110°С in the presence of the sodium or potassium nitrates, taken in amount of 120 - 150 % from the stoichiometrically indispensable for the reaction formation of the gaseous ammonia. The process duration is four hours. The technical result of the invention is simplification of the process of reprocessing of the metallic beryllium wastes and provision of the fire-explosive safety.
EFFECT: the invention ensures simplification of the process of reprocessing of the metallic beryllium wastes and provision of the fire-explosive safety.
