FIELD: analysis and sorting of material flow.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of irradiating material with X-ray irradiation having at least two energy levels; measuring irradiation transmission through material separately for each energy level; measuring values of transmitted irradiation by means of pickup; on base of received values of transmitted irradiation measured by said pickup determining at least thickness and effective atomic content of material; using pickup including large number of practically adjacent one to other point type sensing members for providing determination of shape and size of separate members in flow of material; on base of such determination separating controlled material from material flow by means of sorting means; using in addition touch-free method for analysis of controlled material.
EFFECT: possibility for separate analysis of small objects slightly differed one from other by their atomic content.
