FIELD: sorbents and gas treatment.
SUBSTANCE: invention, in particular, relates to preparing regenerable carbon dioxide absorbent based on zirconium hydroxide that can be used in technology of preparing absorbents to remove carbon dioxide from atmosphere in closed spaces, to create controlled gas media in fruit and vegetable stores, and t0 clean atmosphere in fuel cells. Method of invention consists in reacting basic zirconium carbonate with zirconium hydroxide forming substance, the latter being selected from alkali and alkali-earth metal oxides and/or hydroxides, namely magnesium oxide, calcium oxide, lithium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, calcium hydroxide, and barium hydroxide.
EFFECT: simplified absorbent preparation technology and reduced cost due to reduced number of reagents and operations utilized.
