FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the method for preparation of regenerable carbon dioxide absorbent based on zirconium hydroxide and can be used for carbon dioxide decontamination of the atmosphere in hermetical objects, for creation of controlled gas environment etc. The method consists in reaction of zirconium salt with the substance forming the zirconium hydroxide; the zirconium subcarbonate is used as zirconium salt and zinc oxide and/or zinc hydroxide are used as the substances forming the zirconium hydroxide with mole ratio Zn : Zr in the range from 1:0.33 to 1:2.5, preferentially from 1:1.0 to 1:2.0.

EFFECT: invention allows to simplify the process of absorbent manufacturing and to enhance its dynamic activity in the process of carbon dioxide sorption.
