FIELD: medical equipment, in particular, casualty and patient transportation means.

SUBSTANCE: stretcher has rectangular base provided with rigidity ribs, four pairs of transportation handles fixed lengthwise of base, storage and transportation casing, and casualty fixing means comprising two pairs of semi-rings. Semi-rings are arranged at base outer side and fixed in pairs at opposite side of base, in the vicinity of casualty's chest and thighs. Openings of semi-rings are designed for accommodation therein of strap tapes having lock-type members providing stretched state of strap tape relative to casualty's body. Casualty is fixed according to body type by means of two strap tapes. Base is made from polyvinylchloride cloth having two rigidity rib systems provided on its outer surface. One of said systems consists of three parts, each having strap tapes fixed in cross-like manner. Tapes are placed on base respectively between first and second, second and third, and third and forth horizontal pairs of transportation handles. Other system is made from strap tape forming closed contour fixed along base perimeter. Each transportation handle has horizontal size, namely length of from 20 cm to 25 cm, is made from strap tape and is provided with elastic retainer which serves simultaneously as indicator of stretcher contamination degree.

EFFECT: increased strength and rigidity of stretcher base, substantially reduced deformation of base material, and prolonged service life of stretcher in medical practices.
