FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering and can be used as support polymer insulation for high-voltage devices, linear insulation on power transmission lines and other objects of electric power construction. Support-rod polymer insulator comprises fiberglass rod coated with protective shell from tracking-resistant material and end terminators installed on its end sections, on inner surface of cavity of each end-piece there are longitudinal projections directed inwards, and in fiberglass rod on its ends longitudinal grooves are made, changing into annular grooves, and in longitudinal movement of terminators on fiberglass rod, its inner longitudinal projections slide along longitudinal grooves of rod and allow enders only at outlet of longitudinal grooves when they pass into annular grooves of rod, in which locking devices are fixed during process of protective cover formation for fiberglass rod with simultaneous filling of tracking and longitudinal material of longitudinal and annular grooves of rod.
EFFECT: invention solves the problem of creating a polymer support-rod insulator with high electromechanical characteristics.
