FIELD: confectionery industry, in particular, production of chewing gum.
SUBSTANCE: chewing gum formed as tablet is manufactured by direct pressing of gums-base formed as powder. Method for producing of chewing gum in the form of powder involves mixing soft gums-base with at least one sweetener and optionally with at least one component typical for chewing gum at temperature of from 35 C to 75 C; cooling resulted mixture to temperature of from 0 to -40 C; grinding and sieving resulted mixture to particle size less than 10 mesh; mixing resulted powder with at least one anti-agglutinating agent; optionally pressing resulted mixture. Chewing gum has pleasant chewing properties that do not change during the entire chewing process, and do not harden which is typical for the majority of standard kinds of chewing gums.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of method and improved quality of chewing gum.
