FIELD: automotive industry; active safety systems of automobile.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems for correcting path of motion of automobile at side wind disturbance to maintain required direction of running. Proposed system can be used on automobiles of any type in which correcting mechanism operates with delay if side wind load exceeds threshold value Fth . Said correcting mechanism is built into steering gear and it provides impulse turning of steerable wheels mechanically through angle σ1=Fth/zK1a1 where K1 is side rigidity of front axle tires, a1 is distance from position of center of gravity to front axle of automobile and z is preset empirical coefficient. At increase of side load to following threshold value, correcting mechanism operates again and turns wheels additionally through angle σ1, Fth in corresponding formula being difference in two adjacent threshold values. Said process can be repeated three times, and at decrease of side wind load below threshold value, wheels are turned back in reverse sequence. If side wind load acts longer than 1.5 s, wheels return into neutral position, assuming that driver himself will correct path of motion.
EFFECT: reduced time taken for correction of preset path of motion and improved accuracy of correction, simplified design of device.
