FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method can be used for measuring local radar characteristics, local energy frequency spectra of tested objects and radio-physical characteristics of radio wave-absorbing materials. Method allows making measurements of parameters to be found at different angles of radiation under conditions of change in shape of reflected field as well as selecting mirror component of dissipation of electromagnet wave to provide high range resolution. According to method of measurement, radar object is radiated with short video pulse sequence, having duration of about orders of picoseconds with frequency of repetition of about several MHz. Energy spectrum of wavelet-transform of the signal is calculated. Values of scale and shift, corresponding to maximal energy of reflected signal by means of wavelet spectrogram, which maximal values are provided by local dissipation centers (shining spots) related to geometrical shape of tested radar object. Pulse characteristic of local center of distribution is achieved to corresponding processing of probing and reflected signals, which center of dissipation is placed at specified time interval, corresponding to maximum of energy of reflected signal. Energy spectrum of wavelet-transform to be known is calculated from that pulse characteristic. Parameters of scale are determined. Average frequency of correlating wavelet corresponding to that parameter is determined as well and local energy frequency spectrum is determined for that specified center of dissipation.
EFFECT: improved precision of measurement; higher reliability of measurement.
