FIELD: determination of capacitance of isolated (single) nanoparticles.

SUBSTANCE: the method consists in the following operations: forming of an object containing nanoparticles of the same kind in a liquid and/or gaseous state; determination in the mentioned object of the values of the potential of ionization by the method of photoelectronic spectroscopy energy of neutral nanoparticles in the main state and energy of the main state of negative ions formed after the addition of the electron, with a subsequent determination of the capacitance of the isolated nanoparticle according to the offered formula using the earlier defined values of the quantities mentioned above.

EFFECT: provided determination of the capacitance of isolated (single) extremely small nanoparticles-(molecules, molecular clusters, clusters, quantum points) by non-electric means.
