METHOD OF MANUFACTURE OF ARTICLES FROM GLASS-REINFORCED PLASTICS Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC C08J5/24

FIELD: manufacture of articles for aeronautical engineering and rocketry for antenna domes, rockets and radioparent ports.

SUBSTANCE: multi-layer glass fabric is impregnated with phenol furfural formaldehyde binder, after which it is molded and binder is hardened. After hardening of binder, article is subjected to heat treatment at temperature of 220-240 C continued 2-4 hours, impregnated with phenol furfural formaldehyde binder in solution of alcohol and acetone at ratio of 6:1:1 for 0.8-1.0 hour per mm of article thickness and hardened at temperature of 150-170 C for 2-4 hours at temperature rise rate of 0.5-1.0 C/min.

EFFECT: reduced porosity of articles; increased strength of articles.
