SUBSTANCE: method is claimed for controlling data transmission speed in a channel, which contains stages, at which by means of radio network controller, during call setup, notification about main allowed data transmission speed of data channel is provided, after call setup is complete, transmission is started at data transmission speed lesser than main allowed data transmission speed, when the data subject to transmission are formed, and, at the mobile station, data transmission speed of channel to which given method for controlling data transmission speed is applied, is managed, on basis of relative representation channel, transferred from base radio-station.
EFFECT: ensured speed of management of data transmission speed alternation with reduced costs of device realization and network operation.
