FIELD: shipbuilding; shipboard tunnels and water-jet propellers.
SUBSTANCE: proposed propulsion system has autonomous body and electric motor whose stator is secured to body and rotor is provided with circular ring to whose inner surface radial blades are secured. Length of radial blade is equal to 0.4-0.5 of ring radius. Mounted on external surface of circular ring along both edges of its end faces are angular magnetic rings; angular magnets mounted on body coaxially with said magnetic rings form magnetic gaps between circular ring and body; provision is also made for rests for rotor in inoperative position.
EFFECT: steady rotation of rotor; reduction of vibration and noise level in ship's spaces.
