FIELD: construction engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of architectural and decorative ceramic products from fireclay by plastic moulding. The products may be used for interior and exterior lining of the building walls and those of whatever structures in lining or fancy jobs. With this aim in view, the said products are made from fireclay by manual moulding in a water-absorbing mould. For this the said fireclay with water content of 10 to 50 % is laid in the said mould in the form of, at least, one 20 to 2000 mm-long, 20 to 2000 mm-wide and 15 to 60 mm-thick layer. Then the product is subjected to drying in the mould and processing of the mounting surfaces with scores being formed. Finishing the product is effected after taking it out of the mould and drying it on gypsum plates, their length making, at least 1.05 of the product length, and their width making, at least, 1.05 of the product width and their thickness being no less than that of the product with moisture content at the moment of placing the product on the said plates not over 30%. After drying the product is subjected to burning.
EFFECT: increase in strength characteristics of the products.
