FIELD: hydroacoustics.

SUBSTANCE: sound speed meter contains acoustic transmit-receive transducer 2 and deflector 3 rigidly fixed on common basement 4, power amplifier 1, preamplifier 5, generator 6, comparator 7, microcontroller 13, temperature sensor 14 and display 15. Additionally the device is provided with second comparator 8, multiplexer 9, trigger 10, strobe former 11 and shunt key 12.

EFFECT: simplification of the device design; increasing of the operation speed.
