FIELD: physics, communications.
SUBSTANCE: transmission power control method is claimed. The technical effect is that the E-DCH absolute grant channel (E-AGCH) may reach a mobile station even when it is in the process of soft handover. For that purpose, the method of transmission power control for the control of the E-AGCH transmission power, including the absolute uplink user data communication rate, transmitted from the cell, controlled by the radio communication base station, to the mobile station includes stages, at which: the radio network controller of the base radio station, which controls the currently serving cell, is used to notify about the offset between the E-AGCH transmission power and the dedicated physical channel (DPCH) transmission power, when the mobile station is in the process of soft handover between the currently serving and non-serving cells; the E-AGCH transmission power is determined in the serving cell, which was notified about the offset, based on the offset communicated; and transmitted to the mobile station using the E-AGCH transmission power determined in the serving cell.
EFFECT: possibility of reaching mobile station signal in any communication mode including soft handover mode.
