FIELD: physics; measurements.
SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to control and matching of polymer art objects, comparison of colour fragments and the test object, more specifically to the method of measuring and quantification of colour of classic hand made stained paper or other similar materials for restoration and reproduction, where it is necessary to analyse or synthesis the colour of polymer textile objects. In the colour matching method with formation of an electronic image, the colorimetry region is chosen, the objective characteristics of which are used for reproduction of the colour of the object. The colorimetry regions of the stained paper are in the form of samples from the edges in quantities of 3-5, from the boarder in quantities of 7-9, from the background in quantities of 5-7, from each image in the central part in quantities of 5-7 with further separation of the primary colours in each sample of the region, obtained using filling threads of one or two colours with subsequent conversion of the colour into quantitative characteristics, which are used for making a colour map of a polychromatic object with further design of a formulation for the dye bath using a known method, colouring of woollen threads and comparing of the characteristics of the colour of the thread and the colour of the sample. The fragments of the stained paper are then reproduced using the method of manual weaving and by comparing the fragments of the stained paper with the test region, the quality of colour matching is evaluated. The advantage of the method of colour matching through analysing an electronic image is that, the complex grainy-ribbed texture of the object does not make it difficult to determine the colouring of classic stained paper, and further more, allows determining the colour of the grains of the stained paper. Analysis of the surface of the object is done without dismantling of the stained paper and without destruction of its surface.
EFFECT: possibility of colour matching through analysis of an electronic image.
