SUBSTANCE: method and system of evaluating parameters of local maximums and minimums of a correlation function, obtained from a received signal is proposed. The essence of the invention lies in that there is determination of interpolated local maximums or minimums, determination of interpolation shift, which is deviation between the positions of local maximums or minimums of interpolated and sampled local maximums or minimums of the correlation function. From the interpolation shift, the corresponding parameter is evaluated.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of evaluating position of objects.
