FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: process of flaw detection and location of hidden communication line involves location of communication line by receiving electromagnetic radiation of the investigated line with the help of portable receiving antenna; registration of temperature field along the communication line with the help of pyrometer; moving the antenna along the line. In the process the portable antenna and pyrometer are scanned in cross direction of the line, with simultaneous contact-free temperature measurement and registration of antenna and pyrometer signal, determining of a zone with temperature higher than reference. Local temperature maximum is recorded and used in location and type of communication line flaw. According to the invention, pyrometer and portable antenna are fixed to a holder by a bracket with variable tilting angle of pyrometer optic axis and pyrometer height above curb.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of flow detection in shorter time, and higher reliability of flow site positioning.
