FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of instrument-making and may be applied in detectors of vehicle engine cam shaft angular position measurement. In order to achieve such result, sensitive element with giant magnetic resistance (GMR) is made in the form of eight resistive elements with GMR with rotationally-symmetric location. At that resistive elements are connected between each other according to circuit that forms two complete electric balances. Sensitive element with GMR is especially suitable for application in design of turn angle detector for determination of absolute angular position of cam shaft or crank shaft in vehicle engine.
EFFECT: expansion of functional resources.
