FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: arrester consists of two axially installed electrodes 1, 2, between them dielectric plate 3 is installed, the area of which is less than the facing area of at least one of electrodes 1, 2. Electrodes 1, 2 are supported directly on surface of dielectric plate 3, which is made from material that has plasma generating properties in case of spark discharge high temperatures effect, and distance from external edge of plate 3 to the edge of at least one of electrodes 1, 2 lies within limits of 0.2-5 of dielectric plate 3 thickness, made of, for example, fluoroplastic - 4. Electrodes 1, 2 preferably protrude beyond the edges of dielectric plate 3 along its whole diameter. Electrodes 1, 2 may be fixed between each other with pin 4 made of insulation material, which is installed along their geometrical axis or may be fixed between each other by bushing 7 made of insulation material, which is installed along their geometrical axis and is fixed with the help of threaded joint in the form of bolt 8 and nut 9.
EFFECT: simplification of design; increase of service life and operation stability.
