FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: bumper contains a mobile power-absorbing shock plate and a motionless basis coupled via elastic elements, arranged on the vehicle body front part. The bumper is additionally provided with a system of parallel motion lever mechanisms of the Nuremberg scissors type with opened working planes relative to each other and hinge-jointed with their external ends with the shock plate and the basis, the said lever mechanisms being arranged parallel to the vehicle lengthwise axis. Elastic elements are tape flat springs arranged in pairs on both aides of every lever mechanism to ensure parallelism of planes and initial bending deformations of springs, the bumper extending outside from lever mechanisms. On the surfaces of each spring pair facing the lever mechanism, rods from an elastoplastic material with the cellular structure and cross-sections in the form of parallelograms and triangles are fitted in cantilever to enter with their free end faces in corresponding gaps between links of lever mechanism in the bumper extended state.
EFFECT: increased of power absorption.
