SUBSTANCE: it can be used, for example, at silicon single crystal growing by the method of Chokhralsky. The method of formation of a protective coat on the inside surface of a quartz crucible includes treatment of the inside surface of the crucible with a working solution containing barium salt and further heat treatment. The working solution contains: as barium salt barium acetate, concentrated acetic acid and diethyl ether at a following mass ratio of elements respectively: 1:11:18.
EFFECT: increases service life of crucibles and production output; reduces wastes, simplifies the method and cuts down consumption of quartz crucibles.
