FIELD: nuclear engineering.

SUBSTANCE: control is provided at the power level less than 1 % from the nominal value of the nuclear reactor power, by moving the absorbtion rods of the automatic power regulator following the mismatch signal between the current signals of the neutron flow density sensors which operate in the impulse mode, and the reference signal of the power level master. At that, the impulse current signals are dynamically averaged and, with help of the microprocessor controller, the maximal value signal is selected or the signal equal to their arithmetical mean is formed, and the obtained digital signals are sequentially transformed to analogue and current ones, before compare them with the reference signal. As the reference signal, the impulse current signals are used, obtained in absence of disturbance of the neutron flow density which are dynamically averaged with help of the microprocessor controller, and the digital reference signal equal to their arithmetical mean is formed, which is entered into the controller's memory at the specified time, and then sequentially transform it into analogue and current signal, to transmit it into the power level master.

EFFECT: positive reactivity is efficiently reduced (in real time mode) if it appears in case of local or general increase of neutron multiplication ratio, in active zone of undercritical nuclear reactor.
