FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: photo receiver incorporates a brightness amplifier made up of consecutively arranged photo cathode, micro channel plate and screen, furnished with outputs, a lens arranged between the brightness amplifier photo cathode, an eye lens arranged aligned with the brightness amplifier screen, a sinusoidal voltage generator with its outputs connected in series, via the first and second high-voltage multipliers, to the screen output, and input and output terminals of micro channel plate, two different-polarity voltage sources connected in series with their central point connected to the input terminal of the micro channel plate, switch with its output terminal connected to the photo cathode output and potential; terminals to the second outputs of the different-polarity voltage sources, while the control input is connected to the output of the unit of cyclic control over the photo cathode state, a photo pickup with an extra lens at the input, the said lens output being connected to the input of the unit of cyclic control over the photo cathode state. The aforesaid unit includes the control cycle generator, code-duration converter and the "ON" state inhibit circuit connected in series, as well as an analogue digital converter and a comparator with their outputs connected to the second inputs of the code-duration converter and to the "ON" state inhibit circuit, while their inputs are combined to make an input of the photo cathode state cyclic control unit with its output being that of the "ON" state inhibit circuit.
EFFECT: high-quality video image irrespective of the observed object illumination level.
