SUBSTANCE: invention relates to people rescue appliances and can be used for emergent evacuation of people from many-storeyed buildings at extreme situations. The device for emergent evacuation of people contains a demountable load-bearing case with cuts for in and out coming cable wrapped up around the roller fixed on an axle inside the said case and an element of connection of a descending person tied to the load-bearing case and the descent speed control lever. One cable end is attached to the building structural element and the other one is thrown downwards. The roller axis of rotation is eccentrically shifted relative its centre. The cut of out coming cable is located in such place where the cable in tension gets bent over the cut edge. The descent speed control lever can turn the load-bearing case relative to the cut edge cable bent point.
EFFECT: descent of several person with one cable in turns; time saving.
