SUBSTANCE: inventions group relates to the field of electrical engineering and can be used in electrical equipment, in particular, electrically conductive connections of electrical movable conductors. The claimed inventions relate to a method for improving the efficiency of an electrically conductive contact connection of electrical movable conductors in a rail junction and a rail connector, according to which all contacts are compressed with a force due to a spring element and conditions are created for obtaining a boundary juvenile layer by scraping the contact surface of the contacts formed by the rails, contact surface of contacts that are scrapers, moreover, the contacts, which are scrapers, are made of a material whose hardness is 6-15 HRC units higher than the hardness of the surface layers of the rail necks, and is at least 47 HRC, and the resistance of the material of the rail connector between the contacts, which are scrapers, is not more than 400 mcOhm.

EFFECT: inventions group is aimed at achieving such technical results as increasing the service life of the assembly, increasing its reliability, stabilizing the electrical characteristics in a long period of time, reducing the running-in time of contacts, creating conditions for self-healing and increasing the overhaul interval of operation of the assembly.
