FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the manufacture of phenol-acetone by the cumol method and can be used for cleaning of waste gases of the oxidation process of isopropyl benzene (IPB). At the first stage waste gases at elevated pressure pass through a refrigerator-separator with formation and separation of condensed moisture. At the second stage the waste gases enter an absorber in which using a liquid organic absorber removes from them the residue of the disperse phase, the major portion of the vapours of IPB and associated components. At the third stage. The wastes gases are cleaned again in a periodic adsorption tank, filled with a composition of activated carbon, aluminium oxide and an adsorbent Tseokar.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the degree of cleaning waste gases and decrease the expenditures for cleaning.
