SUBSTANCE: device includes power source, solenoid, and storage capacitor bank. Current switch with control and power inputs and single-pole normally closed output. Switch launch unit, launching switch, regulated charge interrupter, bleeder, voltage comparator, readiness indicator, power switch, feed power voltage comparator, automatic switch, regulated work mode switch. Voltage selection device, rectifier, power indicator, voltage stabiliser, battery discharge indicator, direct-to-alternate voltage converter, alternate-to-alternate voltage converter. The solenoid features oblique winding at an angle of 45°±30° to the solenoid axis. Three variants of the invention differ in power sources: battery, onboard or urban power network, and in elements connection patterns.

EFFECT: improved quality characteristics of data deletion for magnetic media; improved energy-saving properties; reduced erasing time; maintenance of working capacity of the device in laboratory and transportation conditions.
