FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Trabecula zone is exposed to laser radiation in the corner of the anterior chamber. Exposure is carried out in two stages, at the first stage the trabecula surface is exposed at the level of Schlemm's canal with nanosecond Nd:YAG laser radiation with wavelength of 1,064 nm at pulse energy of 0.9–1.0 mJ, spot diameter of 8–10 mcm and number of pulses of 50–60 units, applied along arc of circle with length of 180 degrees at equal distance from each other. Immediately after that, the second stage is performed - selective laser trabeculoplasty in the lower part of the angle of the anterior chamber along a circular arc with length of 180 degrees by laser radiation with wavelength of 532 nm with non-overlapping laser applicates in amount of 70–75 units, radiation energy 0.5–0.6 mJ, spot diameter 400 mcs, exposure 3 ns.
EFFECT: method enables reducing intraocular pressure by average of 14 % more than after using existing methods of treatment (SLT, YAG-JIAT), achieving a high hypotensive effect and stable maintenance of normal ophthalmotonus for a year or longer.
