FIELD: biology.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns molecular biology and can be applied in diagnostic methods for various purposes. The claimed method involves a) bisulphate treatment of genome DNA sample containing background DNA beside the analysed DNA; b) PCR amplification of the processed sample, using at least one primer pair and at least one additional oligonucleotide or PNA oligomer which is capable of linking preferentially to 5'-CG-3'- or 5'-TG-3', or 5'-CA-3'- site in the background DNA, thus preventing its amplification; and c) analysis of amplified products, allowing drawing a conclusion about methylation state of the analysed DNA.
EFFECT: application in diagnostics and/or prediction of susceptibility to some diseases, in analyses involving definition of different cell types and/or different differentiation stages.
