FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to thermal treatment and may be used for production of split round rings with parallel end surfaces. Accessory for heat fixing of piston rings contains cylindrical holder with fixed flange and cylindrical rod with thread and nut. The first cylindrical part of holder forms ring half from its back to 90° and 270°. The second cylindrical part of holder forms ring half from 90° and 270° to lock. Centre of holder second part radius is displaced to the side of lock from the center of nominal ring radius. Radiuses of holder parts are determined by mathematical dependence.
EFFECT: increase of rings durability and reliability of sealing unit operation.
