SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of thermal treatment. In order to produce piston rings with even, higher and lower radial pressure in zone of lock, device consists of cylindrical mandrel 1 with fixed flange 2 and cylindrical rod 3 threaded for axial tightening of piston rings packet 5 with nut 4 through movable flange 6. Mandrel consists of cylindrical parts, at the same time one part of mandrel forms half of ring from back to 90° and 270° with radius r1=d/2=(πD+Skα/2sinα/2)/ 2π - t, where d is diametre of mandrel cylindrical part, mm, D is rated diametre of piston ring, mm, S is size of piston rings lock in free condition, mm, k is coefficient of ring material shrinkage, equal to 1.15-1.25, α is angle defining zone of lock S of ring, t is radial thickness of piston ring, mm, at the same time other cylindrical part of mandrel consists of two shaping parts, the first of which forms part of ring from 90° to 140° and from 220° to 270°, centre of radius of which is located from centre of rated ring radius to the side of lock at the distance of Δ=Rf, where R is rated radius of piston ring, mm, f is coefficient equal for rings with reduced pressure in zone of lock - 0.026, for rings with even pressure diagram - 0.036, for rings with higher pressure in zone of lock - 0.046, and the second part of mandrel forms part of ring from 140° and 220° to lock, centre of radius of which is located from centre of rated radius of ring to the side of back at distance of Δ1=Rf1, where f1 is coefficient equal to 0.03.

EFFECT: production of piston rings with even, higher and lower radial pressure in zone of lock.
