FIELD: physics; engineering procedures.
SUBSTANCE: method of uncovered optical fibre extract includes following stages: optical fibre sample fusion with heater and uncovered optical fibre extract; natural cooling of uncovered optical fibre or forced cooling of uncovered optical fibre using cooler unit following heating and fusion stage. At extract stage temperature of heated and fused fibre sample cannot exceed 1800°C within time period greater than time period T (min) defined by equation T =-0,01X + 12, where X ("мчмлн" -1) is OH groups concentration in external layer of optical fibre sample. The cooling stage includes uncovered optical fibre cooling rate increase so that it is faster, than air cooling after external diameter of uncovered optical fibre within extract procedure is constant.
EFFECT: optical loss enhancement.
