FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: clinical excessive hydration rates are evaluated. Patient's age, cavitary hypostases and cutaneous edema are detected and grouped with numerical assignment. Prospective excess liquid volume relative to ideal body weight is calculated by formulas corresponding to age groups. For children aged one day to one year: V0-12M=6.10509+(15.10323*X1)-(0.45023*X2)+(2.89610*X3); for children aged one year to seventeen years: V1-17Y=4.05933+(9.786627*X1)-(0.233923*X2)+(1.459055*X3), respectively, where: X1 is cavitary hypostases, considering 0 is no cavitary hypostases, 1 is moderated cavitary hypostases, 2 is evident cavitary hypostases; X2 is patient's age, thus age of children of one year is expressed in months, children is senior than one year - in years; X3 is cutaneous edema indicated by depth of fossa formed at pressing the skin, mm.
EFFECT: method allows for quantitative estimation of excess liquid in children suffering from renal insufficiency.
