FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: described is method of obtaining optically pure sulfoxides by catalytic oxidation of thioethers with hydrogen peroxide, as catalyst homochiral microporous coordination polymer of the following composition is used: [Zn2BDC-(L-Lac)·DMF] · (DMF)x, where BDC - dianion of terephthalic acid, L-Lac - dianion of lactic acid, DMF - dimethylformamide, which simultaneously acts as chiral immobile phase for separation of obtained sulfoxides by means of enantioselective liquid column chromatography.
EFFECT: claimed method allows to carry out simultaneous selective heterogenous oxidation of thioethers and enantioselective chromatographic separation of obtained enantiomeric sulfoxides.
