FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: slot line relates to SHF-range devices and can be used for producing the devices with electrically controlled amplitude-frequency or phase-frequency characteristics. The proposed device incorporates a dielectric substrate and ferroelectric film one side of which accommodates wave-guide electrodes forming an elongated slot. Note that, in the slot area, control electrodes are applied onto opposite sides of ferroelectric film closing the slot and conducting in the operating frequency range. Mind that the said ferroelectric film is applied onto the dielectric substrate along with the preliminary applied thin layer of platinum. Another platinum layer is applied onto the other side of the said ferroelectric film. The application of transparent control electrodes in the said slot line provides for a theoretical minimum of control voltage and a Q-factor of the phase shifter subject only to tgδ of ferroelectric film.
EFFECT: theoretical minimum of control voltage.
