FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to conditioning castable aluminium-silicon alloys of hypoeutectic composition. Rod-like modifying agent is made by mixing aluminium powder with particle size of 0.5-0.7 mm and superdispersed powder of titanium nitride with mean particle size of 40 nm in planetary-type mill for fine minutes at 400 rpm, and compacting produced composition into rod.

EFFECT: higher content of superdispersed powder of titanium nitride.
