COMPOUND-HYDROGEN CATCHER, METHOD OF ITS PRODUCTION AND ITS USAGE Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC H01J7/18

Abstract RU 2338290 C2

FIELD: electric engineering.

SUBSTANCE: it may be used in all cases, whenever hydrogen is released or when it has to be caught according to safety reasons, for instance, in the process of radioactive waste pressurisation or in manufacture of fuel elements. Compound-hydrogen catcher contains at least one salt of metal with formula of MX(OH), where M - transitional bivalent element, for instance, Co or Ni; O - oxygen atom; X - atom of group 16 of Periodic table, apart from O, for instance, sulphur atom; and H - hydrogen atom. Compound-hydrogen catcher according to the present invention effectively catches hydrogen both inside the material and in free condition.

EFFECT: creation of cheap, simple in operation, stable in time and having wide spectrum of application compound for hydrogen catching.
