FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for processing liquid radioactive wastes, in particular ion-exchange resins (IER), by their inclusion into polymer matrix. Method includes pre-processing of radioactive wastes by drying IER by means of electromagnetic field (EMF) of superhigh frequency (SHF) range. After that, obtained solid free-flowing product is immobilised in polymer matrix material, based on epoxy-diane resin in ratio 1:1-6:1 vol %. IER humidity after impact of IMF of SHF range constitutes less than 0.4%.
EFFECT: reduction of weight, volume and humidity of RAW, increased degree of polymer matrix filling by ion-exchange resins in the process of converting liquid radioactive wastes into solid.
