FIELD: electric engineering.
SUBSTANCE: according to invention as shunts of accumulator negative electrodes, open-cell foam metal is used with porosity of at least 90%, structure of which is replication of open-cell polyurethane foam structure; at that lead or lead alloys coating is applied on foam metal. Since foam metal has branched open-cell structure, maximum contact of shunts with active mass is provided. Lead or lead alloys coating is applied on foam metal for its protection against contact with sulfuric electrolyte.
EFFECT: increase of specific discharge capacity.
