FIELD: tools.
SUBSTANCE: proposed tip features lower and upper face surfaces, main, auxiliary and angular side surfaces arranged there between. At that intersection of the aforesaid surfaces with the main face surface makes the main, auxiliary and angular point. The tip contains also a through bore receiving a fastening screw and cross-drilled relative to the main side surfaces. To simplify manufacture of the tip and tool holder and to reduce material intensity, the composite tip comprises the holder housing two cutting inserts with the main, auxiliary and angular cutting edges. Note here that every holder mortise is constricted by the lower thrust wall passing along the lower face surface, the lateral thrust wall parallel to mating main side surface and the angular wall facing the mating angular side surface. Every insert features an axial bearing surface. The aforesaid through bore represents composite aligned bores of the said inserts and the holder.
EFFECT: ease of manufacture.
