SPHERICAL JOINT Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: joints for front suspensions of transport facilities. SUBSTANCE: spherical joint includes body, pin with spherical head fitted in body and spherical flexible insert with concentric grooves brought in communication by mean of grooves on its outer surface. Lower hemisphere of insert is provided with slots which form lobes. Inner surface of flexible insert is provided with meridional slots brought in line with above-mentioned slots. Flexible porous material is laid in slots between lobes. Mounted in body on side opposite to pin is locating member made in form of threaded plug. Inner lateral surface of body is provided with circular bore for additionally pressing the insert to spherical head. EFFECT: increased wear resistance and service life of joint. 2 cl, 10 dwg
