RETRACTOR - NARROWER Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC A61B17/02

Abstract RU 2339322 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: retractor-narrower consists of symmetrical coplanar pivotally connected levers. The novelty of the device is that every lever is made with upper circular shelf. Clamp block of the margins of the incision of the wall of abdominal cavity is arranged pivotally on the axis parallel to the shelf in transverse to the self eyelets on the upper side of the lower tail part of the lower shelf. The levers in the median part are hinged by the block of reciprocal displacements of the levers; levers fixation block is arranged in the back-end of the upper shelves. The thumb and the long finger of the operator come in touch with the rings of the upper shelves of the levers, and the forefinger presses the ring, for example, the right one in its front part. Clamp block of the incision of the abdominal wall is made as a system of kinematically connected cylindrical linked helical wheels, located in rectangular axes. One of these wheels is arranged on the axis parallel to the shelf with an L-shaped clamp at a straight angle at a lateral sight fixed parallel to the axis forming a wheel-clamp. Block of reciprocal displacements of the levers is made as a system of crossing in the middle level tabular diagonals-draughts, forming a square by hinged end parts at sight from above. Eyelets in the tail-parts of the diagonals are hinged with the eyelets of the levers in their internal vertical walls on the outside, forming loops in the front hinges. Back tail parts of the draughts are each of a circular eye - form with a fixed axis with tails protruding from the flat ends in the form of the pins. Rings arranged on the pins may easily rotate. The rings are arranged in U-shaped directions on every side of the pins by one side of parallel plates of the guides, which are fixed on the internal wall of outer side of each of the lever. Levers fixation block is made as a system of kinematically connected two cantilevered in the back parts levers towards each other in parallel planes bars of the levers. One of the levers presents a rod. In the tail part of the second bar there is a console formed lug with a cantileverad towards the bar and horizontal plane hole with an installed roller. In the tail part of the roller on the external side there are equiangulary spaced spline keys. Mating clamps of the tabular sector make contact with these clamps. The sector is arranged in the cross-hole of the slot of the lug. Formed in the sector and standing out from the counter of the lug tooth mates with corresponding notch between the teeth. The tooth presents a segment cantileveradly standing out of the plane of the sector.

EFFECT: it increases possibility of narrowing and retracting margins or boarders of incision or ruptures of walls, for example of abdominal cavity, as well as of blood vessels and possibly of urinary vessels, speeding up the process of operation as well as the process of clamping along the flat ends of the incision margins with clamp blocks.
