FIELD: mechanics.

SUBSTANCE: coiler with wire/rod coil making device comprising one reel arranged behind the wire/rod producing plant incorporates a wire/rod drawing unit with a movable rocking stripping plate and a stripping plate manipulator designed to direct the coiler reel outlet and to ensure a continuous coiling on appropriate reel. The proposed coiler incorporates also the first coiler reel outlet shifter to move the said outlet to both sides of the said reel and parallel to the reel axis and the second shifter to move the said outlet perpendicular to reel axis so as to increase the coil diameter in winding-up. One pair of opposed rollers is arrangedy nearby the stripping plate outlet to clamp and hold the wire/rod, the rollers axes (i) being parallel to each other, (ii) orthogonal to the wind-up reel. Note here that (iii) one of the aforesaid rollers features an elastic deformation in pressing against the other roller, and that both rollers (iv) are inclined in the plane parallel to the reel axis and orthogonal to the axes of constricting rollers in the direction of wire/rod sliding in the stripping plate.

EFFECT: higher wind-up quality.
