FIELD: construction, pipeline.
SUBSTANCE: coupling that is equipped with nozzle for supply and removal of working fluid is fixed in the pipeline, working fluid is supplied into annular cavity between coupling and pipeline. As working fluid gas is supplied under pressure that does not exceed working pressure in the pipeline, nozzle is isolated, cavity tightness is checked by absence of pressure drop in it. Nozzle is opened and gas pressure is reduced in it down to atmospheric one, gas is repeatedly supplied into cavity and nozzle is repeatedly isolated.
EFFECT: expansion of technical means arsenal, accident-free operation of existing pipelines without their disconnection and without replacement of defect section.
