FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to plasma equipment, namely, to gas discharge devices with liquid electrolytic electrodes. In electrode unit that contains electrolytic bath and current contact jaw, current contact jaw is arranged as hollow and is equipped with nozzles, and internal cavity of current contact jaw is divided into channels that form together with nozzles single tight cavity for flow of cooling liquid, at that top surface pf current contact jaw forms horizontal cavity, ratio of area of which to the area of horizontal cross section of electrolytic bath remains within the limits from 0.9 to 1.0. Suggested electrode unit provides efficient heat removal from liquid electrode-electrolyte.
EFFECT: increase of current and capacity of gas charge with preservation of its stability.
