FIELD: plasma technology. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to electric discharge devices with liquid electrodes. It can find use in those branches of industry where electrophysical methods of machining of materials are employed, in particular, for local plasma-electrolyte heating of metals. Proposed electrode unit includes current lead in the form of pressure tube 1 and electrode 2. Pressure tube 1 is fitted with extension incorporating porous sleeve 3 manufactured from refractory dielectric material and current-conducting bushing 4 with conduits inside it. Porous sleeve 3 is put on bushing 4 with clearance between bottom of sleeve 3 and face surface of bushing 4. Pressure tube 1 and conduits 6 inside bushing 4 form one space for flow of liquid electrode. EFFECT: expanded technological capabilities of electric discharge unit by way of growth of its degree of freedom, increased power of discharge and geometrical dimensions of discharge region. 2 cl, 1 dwg
